“The pilot data field validation was crucial to our acceptance and buy-in on our pavement quality assessment. Mr. Gordon explained each condition, the methods of measurement of the distresses, and how the PCI score calculations could help us understand the meaning and relationship of the values to our perceptions of pavement performance. This personalized process allowed us to make maintenance decisions from the data provided with confidence.”

“The leadership of Roadway Asset Services (RAS) has been working with the City of San Antonio to provide consulting services for pavement evaluations and management for several years, through two cycles of pavement condition assessment and ROW collection. As the Deputy Director of Public Works for the City of San Antonio, I have worked extensively with Scot Gordon and Bart Williamson, here in San Antonio where they led the most recent pavement condition assessment and Right-of-Way asset data collection effort completed in 2019. They were an integral partner in these endeavors and continue to provide the utmost professional service. Scot’s involvement in our budget analysis and maintenance modeling, as well as updates to the performance curves and tracking of maintenance improvements certainly enabled our great city to improve our asset management system and the accuracy of our infrastructure data. I am also working to retain RAS to provide additional modeling and consulting serves. They will provide technical support that will further enhance our staff’s ability to maintain our quality roadway network and improve our overall pavement condition through innovative budgeting and timely maintenance. This group has always been leaders in the industry, and I look forward to continuing to work with them on various projects.”
